This Virtual Event Coordinator role offers a temporary, remote opportunity with a pay range of $28 to $30 per hour. The assignment lasts about two months and is ideal for professionals with strong tech and customer service skills. Only candidates holding a bachelor’s degree will be considered.
The schedule typically requires availability during the first shift, covering 8 AM to 4 PM, though many webinars are hosted in the afternoon. Flexibility and a “customer-first” mentality are essential components of success in this job.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You’ll manage more than 30 virtual events, primarily using Zoom. Your day will often involve setting up webinars, assisting speakers during rehearsals, and delivering real-time support for participants.
Tasks include managing Zoom functions, sharing screens, monitoring waiting rooms, and troubleshooting basic tech issues, especially for an older demographic.
After each event, you’ll edit and trim Zoom recordings and export attendance reports into spreadsheets. Communication with your team happens through Microsoft Teams.
During major event dates in late June, you’ll provide dedicated, virtual support throughout each session, ensuring a smooth user experience for all attendees and speakers.
Patience and clear communication are vital since you’ll often help people with varying levels of tech expertise.
