Virtual Event Coordinator
Launch your event career with no prior experience. $28-$30/hr temp role. Support webinars, coordinate speakers, and improve your technical skills—all remotely.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
This Virtual Event Coordinator opportunity pays an appealing hourly rate of $28–$30. It’s a remote, temporary position with a focus on webinar execution and admin duties.
This role requires you to handle Zoom webinars, prepare speakers, troubleshoot attendee issues, and process post-event reports. Most events run between 1pm and 6pm.
You’ll engage in technical facilitation, assist community leaders virtually, and gain skills in webinar hosting. Coordination with project managers via Microsoft Teams is expected.
Additionally, you’ll edit and format recordings using Zoom’s basic video tools and support the team during a biannual convention within a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Patience and communication are key, as you’ll work with an older demographic needing light tech help, making each day varied and fulfilling for those who enjoy helping.
Pros of the Role
The remote nature of this position means you can work from anywhere and save on commuting costs, providing great work-life flexibility for most applicants.
This is a fantastic way to build technical and event coordination skills, and the no-experience requirement opens doors for ambitious newcomers to the field.
Cons to Consider
This is a temporary assignment, so if you seek job security or a path to a permanent role, you may find this less appealing over time.
The majority of the responsibilities are task-based, with limited opportunity for advancement within this single project, potentially limiting long-term career growth.
Verdict
If you’re eager to bolster your technical credentials and gain experience in virtual event management, this coordinator role is ideal, especially for entry-level candidates ready to take initiative.
The competitive pay, remote setup, and skill growth opportunities outweigh its short duration, making it a smart step towards a future in events or admin roles.
