Virtual Event Coordinator
Temporary remote role, $28-$30/hr, ideal for tech-savvy professionals ready to manage webinars and support virtual events through July. Flexible hours and a supportive team environment.
What You’ll Do Each Day
The Virtual Event Coordinator temporary role pays $28-$30 per hour, and is ideal for detail-oriented candidates. You’ll manage over 30 scheduled webinars and support a biannual convention during this two-month remote assignment.
Handling Zoom webinars, you’ll set up and run meetings, monitor participant access, drop links in chat, and provide basic troubleshooting. You’ll support rehearsal sessions for speakers to ensure a smooth technical experience.
Administrative follow-up includes simple video editing, creating attendance reports using Microsoft Excel, and managing post-event logistics. Collaboration happens via Microsoft Teams for daily coordination and communication with project leaders.
You’ll primarily work between 8 AM and 4 PM, with most virtual events scheduled in the afternoon. Exceptional customer service—especially for attendees who may need tech help—is an essential aspect of your day-to-day.
Skills in event coordination, Zoom management, and Excel are essential. A bachelor’s degree is required but prior experience in a similar role is not necessary.
Pros
One major advantage is flexibility. This remote, short-term position allows you to work from anywhere and offers a clear timeline with a manageable workload and a concrete end date in July.
This role lets you make an impact supporting a national nonprofit’s mission, offering the satisfaction of contributing to civic engagement and voter education. The competitive hourly pay reflects the importance of this support.
Cons
The job is temporary, which may not appeal if you’re seeking long-term employment or benefits. Also, the need for patience with basic tech support, especially for less tech-savvy attendees, could feel repetitive.
Finally, as this position runs through a fixed busy season, you’ll need to be available for the concentrated period around the convention, making other commitments during those dates tricky to schedule.
My Verdict
If you want a rewarding, remote, and flexible temporary role that values both your technical and communication skills, this Virtual Event Coordinator job offer is an excellent opportunity. For those aiming for impactful, part-time work in a supportive environment, the role delivers professional growth and a tangible sense of accomplishment.
