The Instrument Technician opening features a competitive annual salary range (over $100,000), full-time regular status, and a robust benefits package. You’ll work Monday through Friday with the possibility of alternate schedules, contributing to the ongoing operations of a critical team.
Day-To-Day Duties
As an Instrument Technician, you’ll be busy installing, maintaining, and repairing precision instruments and process control equipment. Each day offers a mix of hands-on tasks and troubleshooting challenges for complex systems including mechanical, electrical, and automation devices.
Your main responsibilities include implementing preventive and predictive maintenance, calibrating controls, and ensuring the reliability of critical processes. You’ll program and diagnose PLCs and control panels, review contractors’ work for safety and compliance, and be part of a call-out rotation for emergencies.
Your attention to documentation and safety is vital, as you’ll also create and maintain technical records, sketches, and process diagrams. Effective teamwork and occasional leadership roles are expected.
You’ll also work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, sharing expertise and supporting the reliability of essential services.
