Remote, short-term job coordinating vital webinars for a national non-profit, perfect for tech-savvy candidates eager to make an impact. $28-$30/hr, bachelor’s degree required.
Day-to-Day: Virtual Event Coordinator
This temporary Virtual Event Coordinator position offers $28–$30 hourly with a bachelor’s degree required and a remote schedule. The assignment spans about two months, ending early July.
Your responsibilities will revolve around supporting over 30 virtual webinars and a biannual convention, mostly between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM ET. You will handle Zoom Webinar functions, ensuring seamless tech support and flawless execution.
The role also includes prepping and rehearsing with speakers, basic video editing within Zoom after events, and maintaining attendee records with Microsoft Excel. Customer service skills are key, particularly for tech support with older participants.
Additionally, you’ll offer direct virtual support during convention dates in late June and coordinate with the team via Microsoft Teams. This job offers steady weekday hours from 8 AM to 4 PM.
This position is best suited for proactive individuals with patience and experience in administrative or event support roles, who are eager to foster community growth.
Pros of This Opportunity
One major advantage is the competitive hourly wage of $28–$30, which is attractive for a temporary, part-time remote assignment. The fact that the position is remote adds tremendous flexibility.
Another benefit is the chance to have a real impact. Supporting a national non-profit and working with community leaders gives purpose to your daily tasks.
Cons to Consider
The biggest challenge could be the short contract duration—about two months—which may not suit candidates seeking full-time or long-term stability.
Additionally, the job involves technical support for older users, requiring extra patience and strong communication skills in potentially stressful moments.
Should You Apply?
If you’re seeking flexible work and want to contribute to meaningful civic engagement projects, this opportunity strongly appeals. The pay, remote format, and team environment make it a compelling fit for the qualified candidate seeking short-term employment. It’s worth considering if you’re dedicated, tech-savvy, and passionate about community service.
